Do I need a fax machine?+
No. HyperFax is entirely online — incoming faxes arrive as PDFs in your inbox and you send faxes from your computer. There's no machine, phone line, or toner.
How fast do faxes arrive?+
Incoming faxes are usually delivered to your inbox within a minute of being received. Outgoing faxes report back queued → sending → delivered, typically within a couple of minutes.
Is my data secure?+
Yes. Documents are stored encrypted, every carrier transmission is signature-verified, and for sensitive material you can use secure-link delivery — a private, expiring download link that keeps the document out of email entirely.
Is it HIPAA compliant?+
We build security-first: encrypted storage, secure-link delivery, and audit logging. HIPAA-eligible handling for medical practices is available on request under a business agreement — please talk to us before sending protected health information.
Can I send faxes too?+
Yes — send a PDF from your dashboard or by email, from your own fax number. Sending and receiving share the same monthly page allowance.
Can I keep my current fax number?+
